vlc app
Brice Mijares
I downloaded VLC, and also installed the VLC app for NVDA. Does any one know if there is a list for asking questions about VLC? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if there is, but I have a lite traffic android list you can try at the link in my sig. And I mean it's very lite traffic. There are only maybe 10 of us, most of us lerk. Lol For an android list in the making where android apps, accessibility, phones and development can be discussed subscribe send a blank email to androiddiscuss+subscribe@android-discuss.groups.io and follow the prompts. to visit the subgroups and subscribe (note you must be subscribed to the main group as well) visit the following URL: about-android.tffppodcast.com On 17 Nov 2018, at 14:13, Brice Mijares wrote:

I don't think there is a VlC list, but I believe Video lan does have a forum. You could try signing up to that.

BTW, you got a response from Sarah about Android; are you asking about an Android app or VLC on the PC? You did mention NVDA.... -----Original Message-----

The forum for VLC is at: https://forum.videolan.org/
There's a register link on the page. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep. ~ Saul Bellow, To Jerusalem and Back

Forgot to mention that their wiki is very comprehensive as well: https://wiki.videolan.org/

Hey. Yes, you will want to use the wiki to get started, and possibly make reference to it later. I still have trouble with some of the advanced preferences, doing things like applying filters. There’s a lot under VLC’s hood though and if you want to play videos, especially, it’s invaluable.
Re the forum, I think there might be a captsha unfortunately.

Many years ago I tried using VLC to edit the metadata for ripped home made recordings. At that time, it was not very accessible. Are these functions accessible today under NVDA and Windows 10? I have many untagged ripped albums that I would like to update. Thanks, Dave Clement Winnipeg MB On Nov 19, 2018, at 11:19 AM, JM Casey <jmcasey@...> wrote:

With this player, can you mark where you left off, for instance, 30 minutes into a movie or book, and upon reopening the app, go to where you left off_

As for tagging songs/albums, I've not tried this and so am not sure. I will look into it. -----Original Message-----

Yes, I have this installed. What is happening is that when I press alt-s to stop playing, say, it also pulls up the settings menu for effects etc. --Sile On 11/19/2018 1:08 PM, Brice Mijares wrote:

I just upgraded my NVDA vlc add-on and it seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks to the add-on developers, this is an app I use a lot for teaching. --Sile On 11/19/2018 4:52 PM, Sile via Groups.Io wrote:
