Hi guys,
Just out of curiosity, could you install NVDA on a Windows tablet? I'm pretty sure you can, and I know it'd rely mostly on the touch screen function. I'm just wondering how effective it would be compared to Apple's VoiceOver. Chris |

If the headphones are wireless, try and remember to turn them off if you're going to walk away.
Some times if the tablet or computer shuts off and then the headphones turn off by themselves, you can have some issues when you turn everything back on. Did that make any sense at all? |

Yes. The headphones are not wireless. I plug them in to the headphone jack.

I think it's an issue with the sound card on my tablet. I know of other people having similar issues with surface devices. Including the keyboard occasionally not responding. -----Original Message-----

I had a laptop once that the sound card started going out on.
Oddly enough, it really only effected the voices for the screen reader I was using. This is probably more of a computer question, but every time I update to Windows 10 version 1809 I start having sound issues? When I contacted Microsoft, they told me it was a bluetooth issue. that would be fixed in a future update. Does this happen on tablets as well? |

I don't have the problem when the Headphones are turned off.
I don't have the issue when they're plugged in with the cord. I've tried updating the drivers, but even when everything's up-to-date, the sound going in and out persists. I originally thought it was the headphones, but I got a new pair for Christmas, updated to Windows 10 version 1809 and had the same problem as before. |

I usually only download the stable builds because I'm afraid of breaking something and not being able to fix it, LOL.
Not to mention if the computer stops talking, I'm up the creek. |

My machine broke several times during the insider builds. Everything from
having to do a system restore, to the machine making and odd noise, to losing sound. I had to completely reinstall windows. Worsed thing I ever did to a cumputer, not counting getting a virus a couple of times, was spilled water on it when I was stoned on pain meds from having my wisdom teeth pulled.
A week without computer while taking College courses is not fun. |

What about leaving it in a hot car and not realising I left it on, that killed it entirely, needed a new one.

Once I left my laptop in my backpack in the car all night. I was worried it was destroyed but luckily the weather was warm so it was fine apparently. Lol.
