I just got reaper last week and haven't really gotten anywhere with it yet, but I have found a good number of resources. Check out the reaper accessibility wiki, it should be a great starting point: https://reaperaccessibility.com/index.php/Main_Page They have created an html version of the user guide there. You can also download a number of pdf files from the main Reaper site itself. This includes the user guide, but also a few other useful things. Definitely start with the wiki and follow the instructions on getting started. You will want to download some add-ons that plug into Reaper. -----Original Message-----

That was posted here a while ago. I took a look at the thread but am not really sure how it's going to go. It seems a little disorganised, but I guess it is still early days. But the thread pointed me to a lot of other useful resources, so yes, definitely worth a look.

Yes, this is neat too, and I kind of wish I'd known about it when the course was actually taking place.

So far I've only listened to the Audio Essentials stuff but the instructors are surprisingly good. I say "surprisingly" because I'm not normally a fan of audio tutorials and such. The only problem is that the classes are archived as mp3s and were originally broadcast over Team Talk. The quality isn't too bad but not really good enough (imo) to properly demonstrate some of the things they are going for. But there is a lot of material there, and the three instructors are smart, personable and even fun to listen to. It seems they also have an Advanced Reaper one, a composition course (presumably using Reaper too) and also one for Goldwave. -----Original Message-----

I am afraid I gave up with it. However it is going to work better if you install the in accessibility add on. Can somebody remind the list where Jamie put this so it works better with nvda.

page of the tutorial and it's hosted on a gaming site. Anyway, that's the link that was posted and there's nothing else to do but start reading from the first post on. It's mostly active students chatting back and forth, so it's a quick read to catch up. I'm not participating in the class, but I've been lurking in the weeds, lol. Anyway, it's very interesting. So to keep this list on track, anyone interested in Reaper should join the "reaper without peepers" list here: Reaper without peepers on groups.io: rwp+subscribe@groups.io By the way, the CAVI instructors and many very talented reaper users inhabit the list and all levels of users are welcome to join. Here's a list of resources that are posted at the bottom of each RWP posting, enjoy, Blaster Download Reaper from: https://www.reaper.fm/download.php OSARA: Open Source Accessibility for the Reaper Application lives at: https://osara.reaperaccessibility.com SWS (a handy set of extensions that make Reaper even smarter) can be found at: http://www.sws-extension.org/ For audio tutorials, and a stellar effort to document Reaper related stuff from a blindness perspective, check out: www.reaperaccessibility.com On 4/11/19, JM Casey <jmcasey@...> wrote:

Thanks, good to know, I'm subscribing to the list. I am definitely in the beginning stages with Reaper but I'm already stumped as I can't figure out what sound device settings to use and am not getting audio output. Lol

Sorry, but I think it was not I who questioned the location of the tutorial. I went over there and found 19, or so, links to articles tutoring Reaper. I went about reading and saving each article. Will soon download the Reaper and associated programs and get started.
