Mozilla seems to have changed the options window, again

Brian,
Thank you so much.
For me, this topic will continue only and only on the chat subgroup :)

Marcio,

Done!  [If my choice doesn't accurately reflect what you were looking for, please let me know].

You also kindly created a parallel topic on the Chat Subgroup, which had the same original title, and now has the same updated title.  Since this is all about Firefox, I'd ask for follow-ups on the Chat Subgroup topic, if at all possible.

And, again, the e-mail addresses for the Chat Subgroup are:

We've been gaining subscribers over the last several days, and have had a number of interesting topics, most regarding technical issues outside NVDA, start flowing.  I'd love to see that trend continue.

To Brian V.,
Brian, please, can I or even you change the subject of this thread so it will be according with what I meant? It's just a matter of correcting the first word :)

Gene,
Actually the bug is described on my first message. And, from his message, I assumed he'd know what it's about, but thanks for the warning :)
Well, the bug is, basically now to have access to the options such as General, Privacy and such using the arrow keys, you need first of all to enable NVDA focus mode and tab a few times around the screen before issuing the up/down arrow command.

Brian doesn't know what the bug is.  I suggest you write a description of it as though you were submitting a report and send it to him.  As far as I know, the bug is that you have to be in forms mode in order to see certain fields in options.  But I'm not sure if you are saying there is more to it.

So basically then, the field is not focussed like it is on google but is on the page. I wonder what the point of changing the way search works was? Might worth reporting it on the  Firefox bug tracker or on nvda github in case a work around is possible.

Hey folks,
So the subject speaks for itself.
Some of you may remember me from the other thread about the add-ons'
section, isn't it?
Well, here we are again. Now, though, the situation is in fact at least
a little bit better.
Our dear mozilla, on what I believe to be the latest Firefox, changed in
a way the options' window, where we have general, privacy and such.
At first, I was about to post here asking for a workaround for this one,
but I found it myself.
The story is like that: being on said window, one can't, for their life,
arrow through the options anymore. Well, at least it was what I was getting.
Then, don't know why, but as a last resort I tried to play with the
window using NVDA in focus mode.
Guess what? It worked!
In fact, I believe it worked because now in this very same window you
have a search field where you can type in parts of what you want to get,
for example "priva" for privacy. But, this field actually is also a submenu!
No, you haven't read it wrong. It's a field and a submenu, as NVDA
reports it.
I'll have to say, that's the first time I've seen something like that.
Quite odd, if you ask me.

Well, all of this to say that, if you getting the same as I got, then
justdo the NVDA focus mode thing or the equivalent on your screen
reader, tab through the screen and then at some point you'll be able to
arrow through the options like we are used to do.

Cheers,

hi.
do you mean that firefox settings recently has accessibility issues
like google chrome which uses material design and even many sighted
users i read on the forums that are angry because of changes in
settings?
i really am not comfortable with chrome which i tested with different
versions and automaticly focus mode becomes activated for me and in
many cases, i even lose focus! and i should press tab multiple times
to go to my previous position in settings!
