Latest version of Zotero breaks accessibility with NVDA

Hi All,

For those of you using zotero, do not update to the latest update released on april 11. It brakes the reading of lists in folders. NVDA anounces grid unavailable, and plays the error sound.

Could you please create a new issue on github with exact stepts to reproduce?
Please attach a log file directly after you hear the error sound in NVDA.

Hi,

Is it possible for someone else to perform the  upgrade and generate a log?

I do not want to take the chance of losing my data.

But STR is as follows

  when in folder list,Tab  once.

Nvda will anounce grid table unavailable, and play an error sound in alpha snapshots.  Any atempt to move, or review the content of this table causes an error.

Enes, can you induce the error, after having saved your data, using the portable version of the latest NVDA?   There are probably not a lot of members who are using Zotero, and this may be your best, and only, option.   I've done that in the past to generate steps to reproduce.

Enes,

Oops, sorry, I somehow read the "what breaks what" backwards.  There's almost certainly not a portable version of Zotero!

Hi Brian,

Anyone can reproduce it. It is extremely easy to produce.

I respectfully request that questions of this type be directed to the chat subgroup.   Discussions regarding the nature of software completely unrelated to NVDA are not appropriate to the main forum.

Bringing the attention of the membership of a program that previously worked with NVDA breaking accessibility when it gets a version update is appropriate to the main forum.

If you google that, you will see that it is a way to build a bibliography for a paper and hopefully import it into such. I wish I had access to one like it as I used one online to write my paper regarding the 20th century choral tone and how to improve it. You can use formats such as MLA and APA etc.

Let me make this clear.  The response was asking about something completely off-topic.  I avoided making a similar request this morning, which I should have made then.

Also, let me make this clear, when I am speaking in my role, as moderator, I expect compliance - period.   That is how it works, and not only here.  I will gladly put individuals on moderated status if they believe that openly challenging either my authority, or that of the group owner, when a respectful request has been made will be tolerated.  It will not.

This will be allowed to pass.  A reply to this warning of similar tone will not.

Respectfully I feel that if we knew more some of us might be willing to test it and provide the logs you need.
I'm not going to go around guessing about what it is or trying to download it if I do not know what its supposed to do.
In a way here this ties in with the thing where the original poster needs to be more specific on what their problem is and give details to the list as to what the software is etc. One cannot simply assume that everyone knows.
