Finding the install sound in NVDA

Bill and Marie Johnson

I have found a folder called Waves, but there are only 8 sounds in it. Can somebody tell me where to look for that neat theme when NVdA installs an update please?

Hi Bill,
I joined you in the hunt for this sound and it looks like it's only available for when NVDA is being updated or installed for the very first time.
I also quite like this sound :)

Now, maybe you'll want to subscribe to the chat subgroup, since perhaps it will fit better there.
For subscribing, send a blank email to chat@nvda.groups.io

Cheers,

OK to stop this thread, here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/twyq713u54gse9g/nvda_logo.wav?dl=1

If you intend to use it anywhere else though ask the Devs first, since it might be one of the few bits that is nvaccess copyright!

NVDA is open source software, released under GPLv2, therefore the included
sounds are available for anyone to use as they wish.

Well it was in the earlier versions, but I notice unless its changed its name radically, the sound I put in the download is not available on a downloaded copy you need the source etc, that was my point.
