Is there a way to set NVDA 2019.2-RC1 to exit focus mode in Skype?

Also, if you want automatic switching in general, you could leave the setting as it is and set up a profile when Skype runs that turns it off for Skype.

Yeah. And I can do that, but in 2019.1 it just did that by itself. Like I said, it's a small enough change that I'm sure I'll get used to, but right now I keep hitting the arrows out of habit and then go "oh yeah, I gotta hit NVDA-space, that's why nothing's working". So it would just be nice if I didn't have to do that.

* Is saved with browse mode off, so when it triggers browse mode will alrady be off; or
* Has the "Enable browse mode on page load" option disabled?

If a configuration profile will hold either the browse mode state, or that option, that should be a good solution for you.

Which version of skype?


There is the app version for windows 10 there is a desk top version both skype 7 and 8 which is more like a web page in 8.


There is also a web version that can be used in a browser.


I was just looking through some of the whats new in nvda 2019.2 and come across the following.


• You can now disable browse mode by default by disabling the new "Enable browse mode on page load" option in NVDA's browse mode settings. (#8716)
◦ Note that when this option is disabled, you can still enable browse mode manually by pressing NVDA+space.
