Not only is it free, but there are two ways to configure equalizers and filters. One is with the program's editor, which is a dialogue with buttons and edit boxes. The other, which is much more powerful, is simply to edit the text files in the Config directory. Yes, they are plain text files. If you're editing and want to hear how things sound while you tweak values, simply press save and the settings will be instantly updated. Great stuff! Orlando Enrique Fiol

Hi. Press Control+escape keys. You'll land on the search box.
Tab twice and you'll see the list of applications on your pc. It
will be something like "All Apps List: Recently added grouping".
Arrow down 3 times and you will hear the following: "Configuration
editor, new", one more arrow down and you will hear "Configurator,
new", and the next arrow down will give you "BenchMark, new".
Assuming that Equalizer Apos is the most recent of your
installation, then you can simply choose one of these to work with
it. If not, just press the first letters of the list above and
you should get there. For simpler access, you might want to send
anyone of those to your desktop as a shortcut. Cheers! On 9/9/2019 3:51 AM, Ame wrote:

Sorry, got another one for you. Lol I’m trying to install APO now. In fact, I’m on my second attempt. Already rebooted once. I don’t see any shortcuts anywhere. I did a search and it gave me the exe file in my downloads folder. Don’t know why I can’t locate and open the program. Am I looking in the wrong place? |

Hi. No. In my case i think I put up the gain and the bass more
than my speakers could handle, so it was just a noticeable hum.
But I have made the propper adjustments. I will write more after
more detailed exploration. Cheers! On 9/9/2019 2:41 AM, Ame wrote:

Hi Jaffar!
Are the bleeps loud and sharp like something’s happening with the speakers? Is it less likely with the Windows One Core voices which I love? I prefer Mark. Since he’s a little less synthetic sounding, I thought that might not be quite as much an issue as with more computerized sounding synths like eloquence and ESpeak. I just don’t want to damage my speakers. That’s my main concern. I’ll be messing with something I’ve never used so I wanna be careful. |

Hi. Tried it with Jaws and NVDA, and I must say NVDA is slightly
ahead in accessing the interface. From my initial findings, it is
not good with speech synthesizers because there are bleeps when,
for example eloquence is speaking, especially when you are
previewing text with the arrow keys. Good for music and audio
played through third party apps like Winamp or Groove music
though. I am still experimenting. Will come up with something in
a bit. Cheers! On 9/8/2019 9:09 AM, Ame wrote:

Hi! Just had to reinstall windows so I’m pretty much starting from the ground up. My Realtek HD system has an ok equalizer but I’ve heard good things about Equalizer APO. I downloaded it but decided I’d wait to talk to you guysbefore I installed it. Has anybody heard of it and does it work well with NVDA? Thanks so much. |
