The subject gives the full name, Abby Fine Reader,
a commercially available OCR program.
I'm curious what version is being run.
Perhaps the program is less accessible than it used to be but it used to be
quite accessible.

Abby Fine Reader is a program used to scan text and save it to a variety of file formats. It can also take PDF image only files and convert them into readable text. And several other operations.
I am running Abby FineReader 11 Professional under the most recent update to Windows ten and the most recent version of NVDA. I just checked and found no issues using the menu system. Rick

Oh, okay. I was interested in it. Where do I get it? I used to have Kirtzel for my reader on windows 7. Can I still use Kirtzel for my win ten?

It is an off-the-shelf ocr program. Many blind people find it accessible. I think the current version is 14 , not sure.

That depends on which version of Kurzweil you have. I know that version 11 will not work in win 10. To find Abbyy Finereader, go to your browser and enter it in the search field. I think there is a 2 week trial available.

I think that’s what I have. I got it with my win 7. I’ll have to look at what version of Kurzwel I have.
