Hi.

The subject line says it all. Looking for an irc client that is screen reader friendly.

Any thoughts?

mIRC4Life works great and so does ChatZilla add on for Firefox.

Hi.

I was playing with the standard mirc client, seems mostly usable. However, i can't find the mirc4life script.

I like what i saw with chatzolla but when connecting to freenode the number of channels crashed firefox.

Any other options?

Miranda NG has an IRC plugin and is accessible with NVDA. Supports auto-reading of incoming messages and NVDA+1 through 4 for history.
You can get it here.

If you install Mingw64, you can run pacman -S irssi
and thereby install the IRSSI IRC client, which works well in the Mingw64
terminal window.

Another option is an ssh session with a Linux machine, of course, where you
can run IRSSI under GNU Screen or under Tmux.

If you use Firefox already, try Chatzilla, the Firefox IRC addon. It works wonderfully with NVDA, without any need of scripts.
