It should do if you are using creators

Make sure nvda is up to date

Make sure in nvda settings > preferences > keybord

That speak letter as they are typed and speak whole words are enabled

Also make sure you are up to date with the mail app

Make sure you have up-to-date Windows 10 app essentials add-on as well.

Cheers

Chris

Hi mark

are you sure you have the creators update?

To check press the windows key and in the search box type winver you should get the following.

Microsoft Windows
Version 1703 (OS Build 15063.138)
© 2017 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

I just sent a email from windows mail and it spoke the letter in the to field the subject field and also the body of the email.

Maybe you might have speak typed characters and words turned off?

To turn them on use the nvda ke+ 2 and nvda key + 3

You should hear them say they are on.

If you are interested there is a written tutorial from David on how to use the program on my website. Just let me know if you want me to send it on.
