Do you mean that you can add and remove new
versions of commands in NVDA? I don't see the relevance to my
comments. I'm saying that if you change a command, you may impair the
logic of the interface and you may cause the inconvenience of having caused a
command not to work properly.

Regarding changing hotkeys, the "input gestures" dialog will let you set

custom gestures. Press NVDA+n for the NVDA menu (where the NVDA key will either be INSERT or CAPS LOCK) then press P for preferences then N for input gestures (or arrow through the list and press ENTER on it). In the dialog, you can filter to "search" for a command, then TAB to the list of commands (it's a tree view, sorted by command type) - use the left and right arrow keys to expand or collapse the tree branches. When you are on the command you want to add a new command to, press alt+a then press the key command and ENTER . Then press ENTER again to save your changes.

OK I first opened IE and went to a web page. I then opened the NVDA menu and preferences and input gestures. I find the find command under browse and see a entry of insert control f for the find command but I don't see any way to change it.

Folks, let us never forget that input gestures dialog is context-sensitive. To Don: find command will show up if you're in a place where you can find text, such as in web browsers. After opening say, a web browser, open input gestures dialog. Cheers, Joseph
