you do not unzip the addon. you hit enter on it and nvda asks if you wqant to want to install it and you hit enter on yes.

Doesn't do that on my computer. If I hit enter on a Zip file it opens up a preview of what is in the zip file.

The add on usually isn't sent as a zip file.  You can either change the extension or download it again with another browser.  You might as well just change the extension to what it should be.  It should be nvda-addon

            I did download soft voice but to me it's not much better than espeek.  I have yet to find any voices that are as good as the microsoft voices.  I think that I have tried all of the free voices and I am not impressed with them.

You also can install the addon with the zip extension within the addon manager of NVDA. You only have to tell NVDA that it should search for zip files (*.zip).
