Nv Access Checkout Page

First the
"country"
and
"State"
combo box willl not change.
If you use alt down arrow to open them, you just hear
"Edit."
And if you toggle browse mode back on, you're yanked back up to the top of the ckecout page.
This is with NVDA 2017.1 and Firefox 54. I've not tried edge, as accessibility there isn't great from what I hear.

Yeah, stupid of me. I forgot to put that in.
Go to
https://www.nvaccess.org/product/microsoft-excel-training-for-nvda-ebook/
Add to cart and go to check out.
In there you will find the two combo boxes I was talking about.

It appears that the first combo box does an odd thing.  With Chrome, I can open the combo box, write the name of a country in the edit field and press enter.  Then, the combo box says the name of the country I've written.  I'm not sure what happens in Firefox, I didn't try just that procedure when I was testing Firefox.  I didn't play with the second combo box enough to say anything about it.  But the first combo box is seen by Chrome as a combo edit box and for whatever reason, it is completely nonstandard and I assume the second one is as well.  You are placed in an edit field that isn't in the combo box when you open the combo box.  then you type a country, press enter, and you have to find the combo box again because you are nowhere near it.

Hi Group,

I can confirm this issue with the combo boxes on the products check out page for NV Access. It simply does not act like a combo box should that is configured for screen reader usage. It is as described by others: alt + up/down arrows do not work and switching back and forth from browse to edit mode pushes you all the way to the top of the page again.

I recommend a redesign of this page to make is accessible for screen readers ASAP so as not to embarrass the company.

This is with a Windows 8.1 64 bit 8 core 24 GB system running NVDA 2017.2.

I forgot to mention that this issue occurs with Firefox latest version and Internet Explorer 11. I haven't tried it with Chrome.

I tried with chrome as well and had the same issue when purchasing my expert certificate. IN fact, I have a wrong province since I couldn't operate the second drop down box.

Since I payed via paypal, it doesn't matter too much but I did try with cchrome ie and firefox all with no success.

Hi

I tried it in to browsers but not edge yet.

I picked say the excel one then went to check out where i had to enter my details.

In internet explorer when you go into the combo box either the enter key or space bar will expand it, but the alt and down arrow key also says expanded tree view. Should it not say combo box? You can not use the arrow keys to navigate the drop down list there. I tried quite a few different ways but still the same result.

mozilla fire fox  does some thing similar as well.

But it says combo box but still does not work.

I just went in with edge and it said it was a combo box but then after i went to open it edge froze and you could not really do any thing with it.

i even tried with been logged in but still the same results.

Looks like a ticket for some one.
