Access to the code, at least (which I don't think has ever been done in the
same way that access to the client has been made available).

Whether this was for security reasons (ie: there's stuff in the code which the
developers don't peopel to find out about), or just licensing problems (ie: the
copyright is with someone who won't allow it to be publicly distributed) I
don't know.

I believe the main contact person is "Tyler Spivey" <tspivey@pcdesk.net>
however I have also just found that the server code appears to have been
released on GitHub, so in principle someone else could host a relay server
independently if they feel like it:

https://github.com/jmdaweb/NVDARemoteServer

I'd imagine though that they would need a static IP address and a pretty fast connection to do this.
Most domestic lines tend to have dynamic IPs.

A static address, certainly. I have no idea of the bandwidth requirements,
and of course that would depend on the number of simultaneous connections
which went through it.

I wasn't proposing for anyone to host this on a domestic connection.
