Hello list,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Morné and I live in South Africa.  I’m only started using NVDA last night, so I am quite new to the world of NVDA.I especially like the fact that I can read Afrikaans text with nvda. I do have a question concerning Skype. Is nvda fine with skype? Are there also scripts available for nvda?

welcome to the group.
skype is accessible with nvda without need to install any script.
just activate accessibility mode in skype tools options and save your setting.

Welcome aboard! To answer your question about skype, it works with NVDA, and there is an add on that you can get through the manage add ons option that will further enhance it. If you need any further assistance with it, don't hesitate to write back.

i use skype with nvda without any addon and have no problem.
it works properly.

It does, except the integrated Windows 10 Skype is a pain to use because I still haven't figured out how to answer incoming calls with the thing, and it seems to be missing keyboard shortcuts. According to a Microsoft FAQ though, I can see if I can find the link, it looks like eventually they'll discontinue the classic Skype so we should report these things. Here it is:
