Hi All, I am currently transitioning to NVDA from Dolphin. When I select all the text on a document NVDA very helpfully tells me how many characters there are. Is there a way of changing this spoken notification to words rather than characters? Thanks Colin

when the box is opened, press NVDA key and b to
read
you would get your word count

I'm sure there isn't but if you are using any sort
of competent word processor, it will have a word count feature. I don't
recall a screen-reader offering a word count feature, though it appears yours
does. I never used Dolphin.

Thanks for sharing! I went ahead and grabbed it; one never knows when it’ll be useful. Will it be compatible with NVDA 19.3? I ask because in the Release notes, it says that it’s compatible up until NVDA 19.1.

According to the list at:
https://addons.nvda-project.org/addons/nvdapy3.en.html it isn't yet compatible. Rui Fontes is listed as the author, and Rui is fairly active on here, so hopefully we can find out. Rui are you reading this thread?

Except paragraphs, because its calculation takes more than 20 seconds, it is ready for NVDA 2019.3...
