Beeping sound when scrolling in page

Hi, not sure if you have same experience when
scrolling in page or site of hearing beep sound
and I just thought it was for only in Firefox also with the Chrome. I am currently using nvda 2019.2.1
As for troubleshooting,I tried to disable all the addons
but it gets the same results. Thanks.

Are you using 2019.2.1 or are you using 2019.3 beta 1?  Alpha and Beta versions beep whenever an error is written to the log.  In many cases NVDA can try something else to work around the issue and the end-user never notices a problem, however the beep is noticeable in the beta version.

If that's what it is, the beep will be gone when the RC (release candidate) comes out.  If you are definitely using 2019.2.1, and you've disabled add-ons, you might try pressing NVDA+N, then T for NVDA's tools menu, the run the "COM Registration fixing tool".

You are likely hearing NVDA automatically switching to forms mode and back to browse mode.  I think that is a very bad default setting, both in terms of hearing sounds and not hearing verbal notifications instead.

In the browse mode dialog which you can open with NVDA key control b, if you want verbal notifications when you switch between modes, change the checkbox to unchecked with the space bar for audio notification of browse and focus mode, or very similar wording.

If you don't want automatic switching between modes as you move down a page, uncheck the checkboxes for Automatic focus mode for caret movement and Automatic focus mode for focus changes.

Hi, Gene and Quentin

What I did was reinstall nvda 2019.2.1 without addons.
And now the beeping sounds was gone on the background while scrolling on page.
