Virtually any screen reader you can name can work on top of Windows programs written using what are now common coding conventions. When accessibility is bad to completely broken it's generally because they're not doing so. Well they redesigned the Music app on Mac OS Catalina. I don’t own a Mac so I can’t say how you sync your I devices etc.

They just broke up iTunes, so you have a music app and podcasts et al. Apple is not dumping that big revenue stream!
And per Jonathan Mosen, Waaltr II is accessible with JAWS, so this may be an NVDA thing or an operator error. I've not tried this app, so I have 0 personal experience.

I've contacted the developers and they said they were looking into it, 2 years ago. So we'll see. I love waltr for the mac but you only get a 24 hour demo which to me is unfair. I can assure you that the little that NVDA does
read is still helpful. Waltr2 allows you to send files directly to your
iDevice.without the need of iTunes. It works wonderfully.
