Brian, Kerryn is referring to the "Download this tutorial as an MP3 audio file" link for each of the AFB training modules your referred to. Those links do not work, but the video in the YouTube frame does. Greg

The doc.new approach does not require you to be in Google Docs before invoking it. I"m glad it works in Firefox as well. Christopher Bartlett

Christopher,
After navigating to docs.google.com in Firefox, I tried entering doc.new in the Firefox address bar, and it works precisely as you describe. This doesn't appear to be browser specific. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Power is being told you're not loved and not being destroyed by it. ~ Madonna

I think this works only in chrome, but putting doc.new in the address field will open a google doc. This also works with sheets.new, slides.new as well. They used NVDA and Firefox, but I would imagine it would be very similar with any browser, just taking into account any browser specific command differences. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Power is being told you're not loved and not being destroyed by it. ~ Madonna

David Russell <david.sonofhashem@...>
Hello NVDA Group,
I am stymied on what hot key combination to use that will allow me to create a blank document using NVDA on G-docs. Screen reader support is enabled. When I find the line that says, "Click + to create new document," A form field opens if I press NVDA key (insert) and spacebar at the same time. I am not sure what this field allows. If I try to copy the document from clipboard, nothing indicates it pasted. Any tips would be helpful as all the tutorials seem to start with how to open a doc not create a doc. Thanks. -- David Russell david.sonofhashem@... "Hakuna Matata" no worries! |
