Am I the only one unable to share links or posts
on FB? Nothing results when using either Enter or Spacebar on a
Share link. I experience this whether using Firefox or Chrome
based Edge and I am using the latest NVDA alpha.

I am struggling with several things on the new Facebook design, including discovering this morning when I tried to share a post that there doesn't seem to be any way to do that using NVDA!
Something else I tried to do today when I realised I couldn't share the post was to copy and paste the text I wanted to share into a message to two of my friends. I started a new group message to the two people and then pasted the text into the message. I activated the Send button and got the error that I needed to address the message to somebody! Even though the two people's names were still listed as being recipients!
In the old layout (and I'm using the mobile version of FB on my laptop and Firefox browser) I often used to use a custom feeling. I used to type in the feeling search field and activate the Search button, and the result would come up as a link I could use to add it to my post. There is still a search field but no search button ... so I assumed I'd type my feeling in the text field and the result would appear in some sort of list ... but it doesn't! There are buttons for Clear and Cancel but that's it. I've looked through the list of NVDA+F7 elements to see if there's anything disguised as a link, a form field or heading etc, but there's nothing. In fact all of the 120-or-so "standard" feelings like happy, confused, goofy, angry don't show up in any of the NVDA+F7 elements ... in the page itself they are not reported as clicable elements, even though they function that way.
In the old layout I could choose from I think it was 6 reactions to comments on my posts ... I could react with like, love, care, haha, sad and angry. Now it seems that Like is the only reaction available.
If any NVDAers have figured out ways to do these things I'd be hugely grateful for guidance ... I'd post on FB about it with the feeling: overjoyed! :)

To write a post: On desktop (facebook.com), there is a heading 3 "Create a post", and below that are buttons to create posts, add activities etc. On mobile (m.facebook.com) (at least the JavaScript version I now get with Firefox), the button to create a post is above the "Stories" level 2 heading.
I can't work out how to share posts, either. 😕
I am able to access the alternative reactions on facebook.com and m.facebook.com just fine. I am not sure if you are talking about something else, though.

Hi Sascha,
I don't have any issues with creating a post but it's the accessibility of the reactions that seem to be reduced.
Maybe I can clarify what I was describing a little bit. There are issues with both the "How are you feeling" part of writing a post, and giving a reaction to somebody's comment on one of my posts. They are not the same issue.
With the How am I Feeling part when I write a post, it has a list of about 120 predefined options, with the list usually starting with Happy and continuing with feelings like Sad, Angry, Goofy, Cute, Confused, Meh. If I wanted to say I was feeling something not in that list, such as flamingoed, I could type that in the search box, press the search button and it would appear as an option that I could select and my post would say I was feeling flamingoed. Now there is still a search box, but that only seems to filter the list of 120-or-so pre-defined feelings. If I type chill into that search box, all other entries in the list are hidden and I can select chill. If I type flamingoed then nothing at all appears where the list previously was, but there is no way to select flamingoed as my chosen feeling.
The other reaction is when people have commented on a post I have written. The only reaction I seem to be abel to give is to Like it. It used to be possible to react with Like, Love, Care, Haha, Sad and angry. When somebody else writes their own post, it is indeed possible to react with those options (though angry seems to be off the menu now). To react to somebody else's post there is a Like button and then a link for Other Reactions, which is that list. when I write a post and somebody comments, I can Like it, but there is no Other Reactions option. Often one of my friends will comment something humourous, and I want to react with a Haha, but have to react with Like and then comment Haha.
As with all Facebook changes, usually things that aren't working correctly get ironed out within a week or two. In case it's not something that Facebook has messed-up for screen reader users, I'd love to know if any NVDA users have figured out how to do these two things :)

Can you test any of this on facebook mobile? I use nothing but that, and love it, and it's easy on the system, amd loads fast. I believe I can react, I just don't. And the keyboard shortcuts are inside the links.

I actually do not find this to be the case. I'm on m.facebook.com every day and can use all of the site with confidence, and ease of use. It works well with nvda, and is actually at times faster than the iOs app.

I just found the Share feature is still accessible with NVDA after all when using FB Mobile. When clicking the Share link, the Share options are now at the bottom of the screen so you can use CTRL-End to get there. I'm using the newest Edge but assuming this works on other browsers.

It's actually always been like that. And I don't actually find my friends, I don't need to. I really love the changes they have done, navigation of the site is much easier, especially with the aria tags they put on there. You just need to get used to change and that's what I did per the mobile site.

To be honest I stopped using the desktop version of Facebook five or six years ago because it just seem to get way too cluttered and cumbersome for screen reader users. I exclusively use Facebook on my iPhone because it works pretty smoothly with voiceover. However, reading some of these replies about the mobile Facebook site, maybe I will give it another shot one of these days

Hi Group,
Oops, sorry I did not see this before posting my own struggle. I receive the NVDA group digest. Suffice to say, a big heart felt thanks to the one who shared another way to bring up the former version of FB: mbasic.facebook.com I too cannot delete messages, create new messages, and its haphazard to comment on posts via the new crappy interface. I could not even submit a problem report per the new interface. I hasten to add, some of my sighted friends indicate they have not been hit with this new roll-out and - for them is business as usual. Short of the classic version, I am clueless on how to accomplish much with the newer platform. Tutorials seem dated at best even from AFB. Cheers,
