Netflix app for Windows 10 and NVDA

Hi all,
does anybody use Netflix app for Windows 10? How does it work with NVDA? Is it possible to activate reading titles inside the app? Kind regards, Tea Turkovic |

This is a serious question, and I'd really like to know the answer: Why do you favor using an app over using the Netflix website if you're on a PC platform?
While there are definitely some instances where I personally prefer an app, when it comes to dealing with things such as Netflix, I generally find it much easier to log in to their websites and use their webpages than Windows-based apps. Hi Brian,
on their web platform, I didn't find the option to turn on
reading titles during a film, that's the only reason. I don't have

Just to be clear, you're looking for a setting that causes titles (or maybe subtitles) to be read during a film? I am not trying to be dense here, but thorough. So it's not an issue of getting those to read aloud, you use other means to have them read? To turn on sub titles it is in the same place as audio description in the player. In my case when audio description is turned on it stays on for all shows that have audio description until it is turned off which is never. It would have to be the same idea for sub titles that have it. The last time I used the web version it is very accessible along with the app on the phone and I think it was the same on my tv. If there is a app for windows 10 I have not used it. Lately I use a google smart speaker with a chrome cast to watch netflix and another page that tells me all the shows that are audio described for me to browse through. Not sure for sub titles but from what I hear there is a lot out on there platform but may be not for some languages. The following should help. How to turn the closed captioning or subtitles on or off when viewing Netflix content. 1. Launch the Netflix app. 2. Select a TV show or movie. 3. Select Audio & Subtitles from the options panel. 4. Yes their is a WPA for Netflix. I use it all the time. I use it with Narrator however. NVDA seems to do OK reading the HTML headings etc. but to me it seems slow navagating the app.
