getting a "please register this product" with the 7 day trial of the sapi eloquence demo

I might contact them then with some feedback.

By the way if you look at the atguys page the sapi link is not on the CF page under education products. I had to google for it, which is odd.

Maybe. I’ll start a new thread later. I sware though the slider on both sapi and add on are missing. I won’t worry about it tonight, I’m sleepy.

I don’t know why.  When I tested the default, it had inflection.  I never tried to change it but it inflected more or less the way JAWS does.

There is something wrong somewhere.  Perhaps the developer would have suggestions.

Nope, the intonation setting is missing. The thing sounds like a robot. I think you windows users call it inflection.

Tc all.

I haven’t used the demo for a long time, but there is a way to see a lot of settings for SAPI 5 Eloquence.  You can open a program window.  I believe Eloquence is placed on the dessktop and pressing enter on the icon opens the window.  You may well find a setting that changes what you want.

I still have the icon on my desktop even though the demo expired awhile ago.  There is a field that says something like force pitch changes.  Perhaps that will affect what you want.

Actually I didn’t actually run the eloquence app first.  So now I’m fine. Except it’s not as expressive as I would like, I’ll post about that later.

I own the SAPI5 version. When it does that, I need to deactivate it and paste in the key and reactivate it again. It happens periodically, and I have no idea why, because I'm connected to the net when it happens, and I'm connected pretty much every day, so it shouldn't be missing a check. The addon Eloquence used to have issues, but I tried it pretty recently and it sounded exactly like the SAPI5 one. So if Eloquence is what you're after, you could always uninstall the addon and try that one. Doesn't solve your actual problem I know, sorry about that.

Well could be server issues, could be network dropouts who knows.
