What do you mean by element? If you mean something that says
clickable, use enter. If enter doesn’t work, you can try other methods
such as using the command NVDA key NVDA plus. That is the desktop command,
I don’t know the laptop one. That performs the default action on a
control.
Or you can try clicking with the virtual mouse.
If you are asking about a button, use the space bar or the methods I
discussed above.
