Check out this new video to find out how to use the NVDA find dialog in PDF

I have recently uploaded a YouTube video which demonstrates how to use the NVDA find dialog in PDF or browse mode. You can also change the keystrokes if you want. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hAXzohJ0Vo

Thank you for this tip. Would this work in adobe as well or only on microsoft edge? Is edge better for viewing pdfs? Should I set edge as my default reader?
Thank you |

You can have Adobe open documents you follow links to online, but I was
explaining why I use Edge instead of Adobe.
I don’t know how many people know this, but you can open files on your
machine or external hard drives or anywhere else you would open them in your
browser. Use control o for the open file dialog and open the file just as
you would in a word processor.
Of course, you can compare opening files or web pages using Edge and Adobe
and see if you like one more.

Hi Jin
You can use the NVDA find commands in any application that supports Browse mode. You can even use them to search through a Word document if you prefer them to the standard Word commands. The important thing to remember is that Browse mode must be on. You can toggle Browse mode on and off wherever its supported by pressing the NVDA key + Space. Note that Browse mode is on by default when you load a PDF in Adobe Reader DC or a web browser, unless you’ve changed this option in NVDA’s settings.
All the best.
Ben
