Hi Use the default Control+alt+n or whatever shortcut you have assigned to the NVDA icon on your desktop.
Cheers Chris

If you have no shortcut such as I, you can type nvda in the run dialogue and it will restart. I’m sure you can also create a batch file as well to accomplish this.

I also thought the shortcut is ctrl + alt + n. I answered in an exam. Although the examiner didn't provide correct answer, his attitude was like my answer was incorrect. On Sun, 24 Oct 2021, 11:15 pm Sarah k Alawami, <marrie12@...> wrote:

Yeah I removed mine. I don’t need that shortcut. So I just quickly restart nvda like I have done for I am not sure how long now.

control+alt+n is the quickest way (or simply "starting" it any other way, eg from the start menu). You can also press NVDA+Q as if you were about to quit NVDA, and on the exit dialog, press down arrow to choose "Restart NVDA" or one of the other options such as "Restart with add-ons disabled". Kind regards Quentin. On Mon, Oct 25, 2021 at 6:14 AM Sarah k Alawami <marrie12@...> wrote:

If you press NVDA+Q and NVDA exits immediately then you've likely disabled it. If you want to change whether that dialog is shown or not: 1. Press NVDA+control+g to open NVDA's general settings. 2. Press TAB until you get to "Show exit options when exiting NVDA" 3. Press SPACEBAR to toggle option. 4. Press ENTER to apply and close settings. 5. Press NVDA+control+c to save settings if you want to keep it (and especially if NVDA is not set to save settings on exit). In terms of restarting NVDA, using "Restart NVDA" from the exit dialog works exactly the same as pressing control+alt+n, although the dialog provides additional options such as restarting with add-ons disabled, which is handy for troubleshooting problems. Kind regards Quentin. On Mon, Oct 25, 2021 at 6:22 PM mike mcglashon <michael.mcglashon@...> wrote:
