You will have to try different voices to see. Different people have
very different preferences when it comes to synthesized speech.
As you move from variant to variant, the name of the variant is announced
in the voice of the variant. that may be enough to help you rule out some
you don’t want. I doubt, for example, that you will want to use Anxious
Andy except, perhaps, as a novelty.

Hi, As I've said before, speech synthesizers are a significant personal preference thing. I suggest that you browse through all the eSpeak variants, and I promise that you'll be able to narrow it down to a select few within no time. I suggest that you try the following variants: Edward and Edward2, all the klatt voices, male 1-8, female 1-5 or 6, all Iven variants. Hope this helps.
