It is not clear what you are trying to do.

You have a touchpad on the laptop which moves the mouse.
Are you trying to turn that off? That is not an NVDA issue, but see below if so.
- Or -
NVDA has the ability, through input gestures, to cause the mouse pointer to move to certain places. Are you trying to turn that off?
- Or -
Do you want to disable NVDA's paying attention to the mouse (mouse tracking)?

If it's the first thing:

1. Locate the TouchPad light to the left of the TouchPad. ...
2. Double-tap the top-left corner of the TouchPad in the small rectangular box to disable the TouchPad.
According to Google: https://www.google.com/search?q=%22disable+touchpad%22+%22hp+pavilion%22

I have this laptop.
Linux treats it a small differently than Windows,
but on the Windows side, go to the mouse settings and advanced mouse properties.
You're looking for a tree of settings;
One of them indicates how long the touch pad should be turned off or.
Either just for this session or until you turn it back on. (What I did when I had Windows on it.)Do Not Forget to Apply/OK your change.

Here is how it is done on my Windows 10 machine.

There are various ways to get to mouse settings.  I do so by opening the start menu and typing mouse into the search field.

I am placed on mouse settings and I press enter.

Tab until you get to related settings and press enter.

You may hear a good deal of speech but to find out where you are, use the read current line command.  If you hear disable, you are in the right place.  Press the space bar.  Tab to and activate the OK button.

Close where you are then with alt f4.

I made an error in my last message.  You don't want to press enter on related mouse options.  You want to find and press enter on additional mouse options.

Then use read current line as I said and see if you hear disable.
