Is Microsoft Small Basic accessible with NVDA?

Hello, I am a student in a computer class which is using Microsoft Small Basic to learn beginner programming concepts, and it does not seem to be accessible with NVDA. NVDA reports almost no relevant information about what is happening in the app. Am I missing something, or is it just not accessible? I contacted Microsoft and am following their instructions, but I am not sure if they actually understand the issues I am having, so I am just curious if anyone has any more information on this topic. Thanks so much!

I tried Small Basic quite a few years ago now with one of my students but it was completely inaccessible then so we covered the same concepts but using Python instead.
