Knowing who's speaking on Zoom recordings
Janet Brandly
Hi all,
Is there a way for NVDA to announce who’s speaking on a video of a Zoom recording? I’m transcribing a file with multiple speakers and having problems keeping all the speakers straight.
Thank you,

I don't know if there is such a command. I haven't worked with Zoom
recordings. Are they files that play in audio players like MP3
files or do they play in Zoom and do they retain information that
isn't audio? For example, can you see the participants' list?

If you are listening to the recording in Zoom, try control 2. That is the command to have who is speaking announced in meetings as the meeting is actually being held. If the file is just audio with no other content, the information won't be available. Gene On 5/10/2022 1:16 PM, Janet Brandly

Accordign to this page: They use mp4 format. There will be no additional information inside the audio recording itself, however each meeting gets its own folder insidet he zoom folder that could include other files, like chat logs…so you may get more info that way.
