Penny, and anyone else who may happen to be overwhelmed with the single-message email volume for a Groups.io group, it is a simple matter to cut your traffic significantly.  Some choose to use the digest option, which will send you a synopsis of the topics that have occurred on any given day.  Some choose to set up topic preview, which allows only the first message in any new topic to show up in your inbox and no more unless you activate the link to follow a given topic in its first message.
