Running latest Win 10 aand latest released version of NVDA.
I am currently runing Thunderbird version 91.13.0 and Thunderbird wants me to update to version 102.2.0
Does this new vversion of Thunderbird work well with NVDA or is this the one that has issues that came up on the list a while back?

Everything should be fine. Mozilla enhancements has been updated.
There are some differences.

If you use the status line, it won't be there, If you don't use the
status line, I don't think you will have any problems that amount to
anything. If you use the address book, how you find addresses has
changed. If you use autocomplete, you won't see any difference.

It may be that Mozilla enhancements now causes the status line to be
read when you issue the read status line command. The apps
enhancement didn't used to be necessary to have that done.

well latest thunder bird of 102.2.0 actually has all the fixes
in, they broke the progress bars again on 102.1.2 after fixing it
in 1.1 but yeah who knows about the rest.
I am just happy even though its not completely accurate that we
at least have a progress bar now.

I don't think it breaks first letter navigation. I believe it was
removed because now you are supposed to use a search feature to find
names in the addressbook; I use autocomplete but that is my
recollection from the very little I played with the address book in
102.x.

I just updated to the latest version of NVDA and I also checked for
the update to Mozilla Apps Enhancement and it said I had the latest
version. I am also running a portable Thunderbird and updating it
to every new update to see whether or not the issues with the status
line are resolved and of now, they are not. If this new version of
Mozilla apps enhancement is available somewhere, what is the
download link?

I've just released the update of the addonMozilla Apps
Enhancements 1.17
New in this version:
* Fixed what was broken with the Thunderbird 102.0 update
* Again correctly reads message headers.
* Gestures for reading headers have been modified; now
control+shift+1-9 reads the sender and recipients and
control+shift+0 reads the subject.
* Now correctly reads the status bar.
* Message reading in the preview pane has been improved and
automatic reading has been implemented. Now when selecting a
message in the list its content will be read without having to
press anything else (as long as the preview panel is activated
[F8]). This feature can be turned on or off in NVDA Preferences
> Options > Mozilla Thunderbird or by using a gesture (not
assigned by default).

Sadly I have noticed a few addons have never made it to
automatics, tony's enhancements is still at v 13, the latest
windows apps and addon updater that joseph said were cued for
distribution never appeared.
Mozilla apps enhancements have not made it to the updater or the
addons site either.
So you either update these manually from github sources by
looking for them on google or you just use old versions.
In all case you have to disable updater on updating these back to
the old versions which really starts to invalidate the updater
system.
Is there any way we can get addons submitted faster to update
especially if they are existing addons.

My error. I named the wrong program here. However, Thunder Bird
has an additional update as of this morning.
It was updated to 102.0.20.
