I particularly like the one I use which puts the sounds into a stereo sound map, and it helps with figuring out the layout of a screen if you have been sighted and want to understand a bit out what is going on.

It will need some significant work to make it completely compatible with next years NVDA from what I have seen as it relies on quite a few routines which will be changed or moved then. There was (is, but it's not been updated/tested with current NVDA versions) an add-on called Audio Themes.
