NVDA file reporting question.

Afternoon everyone.

Does anyone know if you can switch off the file reporting on NVDA?
So that only the name's read and not lets say, track1 of 200.

Thanks

Chantelle,

If you are moving through your list of files in Windows Explorer (Windows+e), the easiest way is to set the folder itself up to be shown with the information you want.  There are a number of views, although most end up in a grid layout where it is easy to miss files.  The best two options are:

List - just the filenames (sounds like what you want here) - press control+alt+5
Details - what you are getting now with the file size and date and so on - press control+alt+6

Kind regards

Quentin.

NVDA, Preferences, Settings, Object Presentation, uncheck Report object position information.
