Using Webroot with NVDA

At work we have switched over to using Webroot. My question is only about the feature that works with Google search results in the Chrome browser. Apparently this Webroot feature will mark safe websites with a green checkmark and unsafe sites with a red checkmark. A sighted person said the checkmarks are visible on the screen but NVDA does not voice anything. Has anyone gotten this to work either by changing a Webroot setting or an NVDA setting?

I have to say, I've not heard of this. It sounds like its some kind of overlay, and what it generates is simply not part of the screen that a screenreader sees to me. I'd imagine this is going to be yet another thing to run past It. I would say try a Jaws demo, but I doubt if a works machine would allow that unless IT allowed it.
