Vocalizer voice shows up as addon but can't be used

Hi,
I downloaded the german "Anna", and installed the addon. The addon is shown as activated but the voice doesn't show up in the speech settings. What could be the problem? regards, Guenni |

If you are refering to Vocalizer Expressive from Tiflotecnia, the correct driver for NVDA 2022.* is: https://www.tiflotecnia.net/ftp/vocalizer_expressive_driver-3.1.7.nvda-addon The link for german voices are: Petra https://www.tiflotecnia.net/ftp/vocalizer-voice-petra-PremiumHigh.nvda-addon Yannick https://www.tiflotecnia.net/ftp/vocalizer-voice-yannick-PremiumHigh.nvda-addon The voice Anna is not for Vocalizer Expressive, but for an older version, Vocalizer or Vocalizer Automotive. pity, I'm using vocalizer for a while with Petra. But since I liked Anna a bit more I thought I might give her another try. But it's obviously not meant to be. :-) But thanks for your quick answer. best regards, Guenni |

To be honest right now I switched at least for visual novels and games with fast skipthrough back to microsoft.

Vocaliser rocks major ass but its not geared for fast skipping its geared for long passages at a certain rate. Push it to hard and it choaks. When it does it loses net connection. When that happens it dropps its licence key. So I have to keep putting the thing back in. The ms voices for sapi are not many. They are ok for what they are but there are a compromise really. I don't mind the ms onecore voices themselves. But... I'm switching between german and english very regularly. And the one that's used for automatic speech recognition isn't the one I want to use. As far there's no way to change that or to delete voices I don't want to use anyway. So for me it's vocalizer with only the two voices I actually use and can easily switch between. I guess it's good that there are different options for different people with different use cases. :-) regards Guenni |
