Please tell us how your data collection is possibly anonymous. You collect enough information to deanonymize people, trivially. If I do anything personal with your extension installed, you have access to it.

Did you download the attachment again?  At times, downloads become corrupted and you don't get an error message during the download.  Always download whatever you are working with again if the first download doesn't work as expected.

It sounds as though something is missing in the download you did.

Did you choose the right folder? There may be two nested folder both called captcha-solver-chrome-extension.

Please choose the inner one.

Hi!

Sorry for the late post!

I would love to answer all of the responses on this forum one by one but I simply don't have the time. So here I make a bigger message to attempt to respond to everyone at once :)

Thanks for the awesome responses! I hope to do much more than this, I think that many methods from Machine Learning / AI can be used in this area.

Questions and answers:
* Will this be released for Firefox as well? Yes, expect to see a release within 24 hours!
* Can I turn off developer mode after I've downloaded the extension? Yes, you should be able to do that.
* What data is being collected? I write about what data I collect and why I collect on the site, please read everything before you download! As said on the website, if you want to get your data removed for some reason, send your extension id to oliver.edholm@... and I'll fix that ASAP. If there's some site you don't want to get your browsing data collected from, you can start a Guest / Incognito window for that browsing session.
* When I unzip the file, the extension folder is inside the unzipped folder! Thanks to everyone who pointed this out, will fix!

Aravind R

Dear sir, thank you for this nice initiative.
In most of the pages having edit boxes, like name, email id, it is
trying to solve automatically where there is no captcha.
In our national pention system page in india, it is not working even
if we use shortcut key and the link is given below.
https://cra-nsdl.com/CRA/
If possible, kindly look in to these issues and clarify us the
solutions to help us utilise this addon better.

it can be used in Iran. but you should certainly use anti filteration
apps to bypass internet filteration. things are getting terribly
difficult here in Iran including surfing the free internet.

Dear friend, thanks for your great work but I have an important question.

Do I need to do the whole process every time whenever  I want to solve captcha?

The matter of fact is that whenever I close Firefox and start it, this extension is simply not there!

Hi Oliver,
Thank you so much for your interest in accessibility and your selfless efforts in making websites accessible for the blind. Just have a request, if you could please re-send the link to download the extension of your latest ad on for Google chrome.

Cheers,

* What data is being collected? I write about what data I collect and why I collect on the site, please read everything before you download! As said on the website, if you want to get your data removed for some reason, send your extension id to oliver.edholm@... and I'll fix that ASAP. If there's some site you don't want to get your browsing data collected from, you can start a Guest / Incognito window for that browsing session.
* When I unzip the file, the extension folder is inside the unzipped folder! Thanks to everyone who pointed this out, will fix!

Hi everyone!

I'm very sorry to announce that doing a Firefox version for this would be very hard since I need to have it signed for it to work permanently.

Because historically many captcha solving extensions has lost their signing I think getting this would be hard, please tell me if I'm wrong!

Gene

I think they lost the signing because they weren't updated by the programmers, not because Mozilla did anything to not allow it.  But others may know.  I'm giving my impression.
