locked help with explanation, uploading file

Hello NVDA,

I am using the Chrome Browser with my online activity, and am assured
by the website moderators at Jericho Writers that this is most
compatible.
I am stumped by what is being told me on how to upload a file to a
given forum that will in turn, provide feedback.
What is meant by the term 'print screen' in relation to NVDA or any
screen reader?
Here is the directive.

I am aware it is quite difficult, but is there any way to printscreen
your screen to see this issue you're having with uploading a file?
There is likely a printscreen button on your keyboard. If you press
that button, then paste it into your email by pressing the ctrl key
and v key at the same time, I can then see your printscreen.

I am keen to help you with this.

Me: Thanks for input,

Press the print screen on your keyboard, copy the resulting screen cap to paint, then save it, then upload the resulting png to the server. The prntscn key will take screen caps and is used in 2 ways.

  • Regular prntscrn takes a picture of the entire desktop
  • Alt win prntscrn take a picture of the current window.

When using the second method they are saved in captures which should be in videos wherever that would be. I say that as that is going to be different. You can browse to yore gaming settings to find the directory.

This really isn't an NVDA question, and should have been posed on the Chat Subgroup.

So it's here, again, for the historical record, the tutorial I wrote about taking screenshots (and the various methods for doing so):  Taking a Screenshot Under Windows

The resulting file, regardless of what format it ends up being saved in is nothing more than a regular image file that can be attached to an email message or uploaded as part of things like the Feedback Hub, etc., as specified.
