Looking For Older Version of NVDA

David Goldfield

Hello. At one point I thought that the NV Access Web site had a place for archiving older NVDA releases. I can no longer find it and I have a need to temporarily run 2019.3 as a portable copy for a brief test of a Web site. I'd prefer to not grab it from a Dropbox link or to receive it as an attachment as I'd rather get it from NV Access, as I prefer downloading files from the source, whenever possible.

Does NV Access run an FTP server with old NVDA releases just as Mozilla does for archived versions of their software?

David,

All of the historical NVDA releases, including the various betas and release candidates, are available via the Releases page for the NVDA GitHub.  See: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/releases

However, I'll be darned if I can find a way to download the compiled version of the installer, which I could have sworn was possible.  All I'm seeing is the source code as a ZIP file or tarball.

Unfortunately, I've deleted my installer or I'd have passed it along to you.

I have often wondered why NVAccess does not host a library of previous versions of NVDA.  There are times where one might want something other than the current release.

Just replace the version number in this link and you'll get any version you want.
