Hi,

Is an add-on called Sound Splitter installed? To check, press Alt+NVDA+S and see if NVDA speaks from left and/or both sides.

Cheers,

Joseph

What add-ons are you running, and have you tried starting NVDA with add-ons disabled?

Usually you can press NVDA+Q to exit, and choose the option to restart with add-ons disabled.

If that helps, then it is definitely an add-on at fault.

Thanks to everyone I manage to resolve the issue by simply delete the nvda.ini file from the %appdata% folder and reload the nvda and everything comes back to normality.

Thanks to everyone.

Whatever you did, if you do something that makes a change and you don't know what you did, use NVDA control r to revert to the saved configuration.  That sill return all settings to what they were when you started the current session of NVDA unless you permanently saved any changes.

Don't exit NVDA and run it again before issuing this command.  If you are using the default setting, NVDA will save any settings changes as permanent changes if you close NVDA and you won't be able to revert.

I meant to write, that will return all settings to what they were, and so on.

Broken headphone wire, plug not pushed fully in the socket?
I'm just thinking hardware here.

No no that wasn't the case, all I know that I hit something on the keyboard but I don't know which key and somehow the nvda configuration got disrupted.
